Soon after I started to investigate this topic, I'd just about come to the conclusion that it's all just a matter of definitions... until I stumbled upon imperative vs declarative programming, which is ultimately what the whole argument is about.
I've ended up making the following video tutorial (just for fun as much as anything else), which I believe reaches a conclusion.
